A Meditation on Faith
New! “ROPE OF FAITH – Lifeline” – A story of faith and forgiveness from the Bible was the inspiration for this contemplative fine art Chinese brush painting. Amy shares the story below.
Title: “ROPE OF FAITH – Lifeline”
Art Medium: Ink, Mineral WateRcolor on Xuen paper
Original NFS – Original size limited edition Glicee print is available for $250 each.
About the painting: Amy says, “The Above three Scripture verses are written on the scarlet rope and the base of the wall.”
In International Bible Study Fellowship this year (2018-2019) we have been studying “People of the Promised Land”. I was particularly moved by the story of the prostitute, Rahab, and by her faith. She feared the God of Israel more than the consequences of angering the authorities of her own city. She courageously saved the Israel spies’ lives because she trusted that God would save her.
“By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.” – Hebrews 11:31
The words of Joshua 2:11 & 18 are written in Chinese along the length of the scarlet rope; the words of Joshua 6:25 appear in Chinese at the base of the wall.
