As most of you know, I’ve been taking some time this year to work on a new series of contemporary Chinese watercolor art. The series is called “Weather Report” and is a continuation of the “Wonders of Nature” series I had exhibited at the Silicon Valley Asian Art Center in 2018.
Here is a sneak peek at my latest work in progress, which I’ve named “Blue Rain.” It features a watercolor mix of beautiful blue-greens and grays. I wanted this artwork to atmospherically communicate the cool wetness of rain on the natural landscape. I’ve added hints of trees to the painting, which adds a sense of mountain air freshness to the work, almost like the evergreens in Lake Tahoe or the Sierras. I hope you enjoy it!
