Welcome to all my fellow friends, family, art students and art lovers!
Thank you for visiting my first blog post for my website ADPKART.com. As you know, I’ve been passionate about painting contemporary Chinese watercolor art for many years! In addition, I’ve been teaching this beautiful art form to students of all ages. My art studio is conveniently located in San Carlos, CA, so it is easy to get to from San Francisco, San Jose and even the East Bay.
For my first blog, I thought I’d share a quick art tip—plus fill you in on what you can expect to see in upcoming blogs. My first tip focuses on how to see more colors. Art requires observation, and when you take the time to really look at details, you’ll notice nuances of color that add more beauty and dimension to the object. I advise you to take it all in—and remember this when you’re painting: Mother Nature thinks of even the tiniest details to create a uniquely beautiful thing. Think of what details you can add to bring that uniqueness of beauty to your work.
In future blogs, I’ll also be sharing with you my latest art project, which I’m working on right now—plus, share the works of my wonderfully talented art students. Of course, I’ll continue posting helpful art tips that can help you develop as an artist. And I’ll keep you updated on my latest exhibitions and musings about art!
Looking forward to sharing with you!
All the best,
Amy Da-Peng King
